Unit 3 The Biggest and the Best
一 语法：形容词和副词的最高级
A. 形容词（ad.）最高级
1.概念：用于三者及三者以上的比较
2.形容词变最高级:形容词前加the或形容词性物主代词（, ur…）,词尾加est.
例：He is the tallest in ur class.
Wh is ur best friend?
3.句首或句尾通常有介词短语表示比较的范围
例：In ur class, Mar is the sartest girl.
He is the fattest f three.
4.句式结构：
A + be动词 + the + 形容词最高级 + 介词短语（表范围）
注: 介词短语可置于句首，或在比较范围为大家所熟知时省略。
B. 副词 (adv.) 最高级
1.well, hard, fast等词既可以做形容词又可以做副词。在做副词用的时候，最高级紧接动词，前不加“the”。
例：I thin Math is the hardest f all the subects. (最难的，形容词)
He studies hardest in ur class. (最刻苦地，副词)
2.句式结构：A + 动词 + 副词最高级 + 介词短语（表范围）
二、特殊形容词/副词比较级与最高级
形容词和副词的最高级一般以est结尾，以下是5类特殊的情况
1) late—later—the latest
fine—finer—the finest
nice —nicer—the nicest
2) prett—prettier—the prettiest
friendl—friendlier—the friendliest
ugl—uglier—the ugliest
funn—funnier—the funniest
3) thin—thinner—the thinnest
big—bigger—the biggest
fat—fatter—the fattest
ht—htter—the httest
4) gd/well—better—best
an/uch—re—st
little—less—least
5) iprtant—re iprtant—the st iprtant
ppular— re ppular—the st ppular
talative—re talative—the st talative
三 基本句型
1. Wh is the tallest in ur grup? 在我们组谁最高？
完整回答：Li Hua is the tallest in ur grup. 在我们组李华最高。
缩略回答：Liu Hua is.
2. Whse b is the thicest? 谁的书最厚？
M b is the thicest. 我的书最厚。
3. Wh studies hardest in ur class? 在你们班谁学习最刻苦？
I thin Mar studies hardest in ur class.我认为在我们班玛丽学习最刻苦。
(否定句: I dn’t thin Mar studies hardest in ur class. )
缩略回答：Mar des.
4. He is the quietest and sartest b in ur class. 在我们班他是最文静最聪明的男孩。
5. She has the lngest hair.她有最长的头发。
6. She is friendl and helpful t her classates. 她对她的同学很友善，并且经常帮助他们。
7. Tal abut ne f ur friends, please. 请谈谈你的一个朋友。
(ne f + 名词复数，表…其中之一)
8. In ur class, T is the friendliest.在我们班，汤姆是最友善的。
（介词短语在前，用逗号隔开）
9. Which untain is the highest in china? 在中国哪座山最高？
Munt Qlanga is the highest in china.在中国珠穆朗玛峰最高。
10. The anials are having a sprts eet. 动物们正在举行一个运动会。
11. It’s the st iprtant da in the frest. 它是森林里最重要的日子。
12. All the anials are here.所有的动物都在这。
13. ust as he is ging t reach the finish line, he falls dwn and breas his leg! 正当他要到达终点线的时候，他摔倒了腿受伤了。
14. He has nl put n half f his shes.他才只穿上了一半的鞋子。

16. He is the fattest f three.他是三个人中最胖的。
17. Can u see the apples n the tree?你能看到树上的苹果吗？
（树上生长的用n）
18. There are tw birds in the shrtest tree. 在最矮的树上有两只小鸟。
（非树上所生长的.用in）
19.Wh’s that girl in red?穿红色衣服的女孩是谁？
(in+颜色：表示穿什么颜色的衣服)
20．I thin the ne is the sartest f all the anials.我认为猴子是所有动物中最聪明的。
21.Tal abut a class picture r a fail picture.谈论一张班级照片或者一张家庭照片。
22. Wh is taller, u r T?你和汤姆，谁更高？
23. Wh is the sartest, David, Mie r T? 大卫，麦克和汤姆，谁最聪明？
24. What a nice da! (=Hw nice the da is!)多么好的一天啊！
25. I have a fail f fur.我有一个四口之家。
26. D u nw these students’ naes? 你知道这些学生的名字吗？
27.The angtze River is the lngest river in China.长江是中国最长的河。
