When I think about the world of advanced technology today, I think of my home, the remote and harsh environment of the Tibetan Plateau, and farmers living in tents with solar energy that they use to power their lights, TV, computers and to improve their lifestyle. I think of farmers talking on their mobile phones, discussing the weather patterns, the cost of food, community news and events. They even talk about Steve Jobs. The train to Lhasa, itself a wonderful engineering feat, brings modern medicine and education to these remote areas. The communities are now interlinked and connected, one of the most basic human needs.
Human beings have a need to be connected, to be safe to be cared for in times of trouble and hardship.
The development of technology must be guided by these needs. If this is not so, then the development of technology is in the hands of mean and, greedy people. The focus of technological development would be wars and weapons, fraud the misuse of information, and the exploitation of people, such as cheap labor.
It can only be humanism which provides the guidance we all need for a better world.
And it is you, who have the responsibility to use the technology wisely, to spread the kindness and caring.

Traditional Chinese culture is beginning to capture the attention of the world.
This is true even as popular culture that has traditionally been considered Western begins to spread throughout China.
Kung Fu, especially, has had a great impact on the millions of people who first learned about China through it.
From that, they may come to China and learn about other aspects of this culture, such as traditional operas like the Beijing and Sichuan ones.
Asian nations have long known about the greatneof ancient Chinese culture.
Their own cultures are a mix of native ones and those Chinese characteristics.
Korea and Japan long ago adopted ideas such as Confucianism is something that continues today even as it is challenged by Pop Culture.
This strength comes from the ideas given in the Four Books of Confucianism (The Great Learning, The Doctrine of the Mean, The Analects of Confucius, and The Book of Mencius).
These books built upon the ideas of an even more ancient period codified in the Five Classics.
From them, the West learns such things as Fengshui and other concepts that are uniquely Chinese.
China has taken steps to further this spread of its culture by establishing Chinese Cultural Centers in such places as the United States and Europe

Then I can help many people out of danger. I will be the happiest girl in the world. I want to be a reporter when I watch TV every evening. We can get lots of important information from them. They make the world smaller and also make us happy. I would like to be a reporter when I grow up. And I can learn a lot about China and the other countries around the world. Are you still believe in the traditional sports concept that "winner-takes-all" or "victory only belongs to the winners"? When Sunyang didn’t won the champion of 1500-meter freestyle swimming match, but stick to the last minutes enduring the pain of physical sickness, are you still accusing him of not winning honor for our country? Of course, no!
Because of the nationwide sports system in our country, we always attach great importance to the glory of the most high-necked award platform, requiring athletes to win the game. I still remember that in 20xx, Liu Xiang dropped out because of the serious injury in his Achilles's tendon, but he grit his teeth and stick to the end, bearing all the pain and pressure we may never know. However, someone mock him that he is no longer the Asian flier anymore, some even said that his injury was just put on a show, suddenly he turned from a national hero into a loser, just because he upset the whole country of not winning one game.
From "medal only" to enjoy the charm and joy of the competitive sports, from requiring athletes to win the game to sincerely admire the noble-character and charming personality of them. This maybe one small step for 20xx Rio Olympic, but one giant leap for the Chinese national sport spirit. Who can say this is not the mistery of sport? who can say this is not the power of sport?
