【The Looney Bin疯人院】
Late one night at the insane asylum (疯人院)one inmate shouted, "I am Napoleon!"
Another one said, "How do you know?"
The first inmate said, "God told me!"
Just then, a voice from another room shouted, "I did not!"
一天晚上，在疯人院里，一个病人说："我是拿破仑!"另一个说："你怎么知道?"第一个人说："上帝对我说的!"一会儿，一个声音从另一个房间传来："我没说!"

【A mother mouse老鼠的第二语言也重要】
A mother mouse was out for a stroll with her babies when she
spotted a cat crouched behind a bush. She watched the cat, and
the cat watched the mice.
Mother mouse barked fiercely, "Woof, woof, woof!" The cat
was so terrified that it ran for it's life.
Mother mouse turned to her babies and said, "Now, do you
understand the value of a second language?"
一只母老鼠带着孩子出来散步，突然她看见一只猫正在灌木丛中虎视耽耽。
母老鼠向着猫叫道：“汪，汪，汪”，猫听了非常害怕，拼命跑走了。
母老鼠回过头洋洋自得的对孩子说：“现在你知道外语的重要性了吧。”
【ass and man驴和买驴的人】
A man wanted to buy an ass. He went to the market, and saw a likely one. But he wanted to
test him first. So he took the ass home, and put him into the stable with the other asses.
The new ass looked around, and immediately went to choose a place next to the laziest ass in
the stable. When the man saw this he put a halter on the ass at once, and gave him back to
his owner. The owner felt quite surprised. He asked the man, "Why are you back so soon? Have
you tested him already?" "I don't want to test him any more," replied the man, "From the
companion he chose for himself, I could see what sort of animal he is."
一个买主到市场上去买驴，他看中一头外表不错的驴，但是他想要牵走试一试。他把驴牵回家，放在自己其他的驴之间，这驴四处看看，立即走向一头好吃懒做的驴旁边。于是，买驴的人立刻给那头驴套上辔头，牵去还给驴的卖主。卖主感到很奇怪，他问买主：“你怎么这么快就回来了?”买主说：“不必再试了，从他所选择什么样的'朋友来看，我已经知道他是什么样了。”
【鲁侯养鸟】
Once upon a time, a sea bird landed in the suburbs of the capital of the state of Lu.
Marquis Lu was delighted and brought this bird to the ancestral temple, and gave it wine to drink, played it music from Jiushao. In order to delight it, he also feasted it on beef, mutton and pork.
But the bird looked sad and doleful(悲哀的), groggy(无力的) and dizzy. It dared not eat any meat or drink any wine. It died in less than three days.
Marquis feed the bird the same way he feed himself, not the way to feed a bird.
从前，有一只海鸟飞落在鲁国国都的郊外。
鲁侯和高兴，他隆重地把这只鸟迎接到宗庙里，献酒给它喝，为它演奏《九韶》乐曲，让它高兴，还用牛、羊、猪全备的丰盛宴席作鸟的饭食。
这只鸟却忧愁悲苦，头晕眼花，它一块肉也不敢吃，一杯酒也不敢喝，没过三天就死了。
鲁侯是用养活自己的方式来养鸟，而不是用养活鸟的方式来养鸟。
【操舟若神】
Once Yan Yuan asked his mentor Confucius why those who are good at swimming or diving can learn how to steer a boat very quickly.
Confucius said, "It is because those who are good at swimming do not fear water when they are in it. Those who are good at diving regard abysms(深远) just as land and hills. They can handle any dangerous situation with ease.
This kind of people is undaunted(勇敢的) at any place. In gambling, when person chips in his tiles he sometimes wins.
When he chips in his sliver hook, his mind is in dread. When he chips in his gold, he feels dizzy and has fear in his mind.
This is because he values worldly possessions too much Thus, those who think too much of worldly possessions must have clumsy thoughts."
有一次，颜渊问老师孔子为什么善于游泳和善于潜水的人可以很快学好驾船的技术。
孔子说：“这是因为善于游泳的人虽然身在水中却不把水看得可怕，善于潜水的人把深渊也只看成丘陵陆地，他们面对各种危险情形，都应付自如。
这样的人无论在什么地方都会自然无畏。同样一个人，在赌博时，用瓦片下注往往可以巧中，用银钩下注就心存畏惧，用黄金下注就会头脑发昏，这是因为他看重身外之物而有所顾惜、心怀畏惧。”
