　　I cannot sleep. So I count sheep. Here they come. One by one. One, two, three, four, and five. They jump. They leap1. And some fly in the sky!

　　Look! Something new – a kangaroo! More hop2 in. Two by two. Two, four, six, eight, and ten. This one wants to be my friend!

　　Now funny monkeys visit me. They come in. Three by three. Some small. Some tall. Three, six, nine, twelve, and fifteen.

　　Now what do I see? It is a bee! Here are some more. Four by four. Four, and eight, twelve, sixteen, and twenty.

　　Five sheep, ten kangaroos, fifteen monkeys, twenty bees. Oh, no! Go away, bees! Please!

　　Away go the monkeys. Three by three. Fifteen, twelve, nine, six, three, zero.

　　Away go the kangaroos. Two by two. Ten, eight, six, four, two, zero. Away go the sheep. One by one. Five, four, three, two, one, zero.

　　Zero monkeys. Zero kangaroos. Zero sheep. Zero bees…
