《少年维特之烦恼》作为歌德最重要的一部代表作，为我们述说了一个凄婉动人的爱情故事。这部以歌德的亲身经历为素材，在短短的四周之内就创作出来的书信体小说所产生的社会影响是难以估量的。在书中，歌德塑造了一个纯朴、善良、忧郁富有诗人气质的少年形象，从维特身上我们也不难发现我们年青时的影子，书中有些话对今天的我们依然有很多指导意义。
