书中提到了那些军官不仅没有用心作战，整天花天酒地，除了吃就是跳舞。一到打仗时，不但没有奋勇杀敌，还四处躲避，有的居然躲进了厕所。这跟抗日战争时的英雄反差太大了。这时候，帅克没有去杀敌，也没有躲避，炸弹在自己身边爆炸还无所谓呢!
