为了英语能考出好成绩，几乎每个家长都使出浑身解数，把自己的孩子推到各种辅导班。浪费了大量的人力物力，还有时间。可这对边远山区的孩子公平吗？外公所在的小学根本就没有英语课，就是想上英语辅导班，也找不到地方。外公经常说：真不明白，为什么一个外国的.语言却决定着很多中国的孩子能不能上好大学，真是国家的可悲。是呀，农村的孩子到中学才开始上英语课，我们却已经在辅导班把初中的英语课程学完了。农村的孩子出生便倒在了英语的起跑线上，可悲，可叹。
我不反对学英语，英语也绝不应该和我们的语文数学同比，可以和历史，地理这样的小学科并列，这样既可以把我们的传统文化发扬光大，也给了山区，农村边远地区孩子一个和我们站在同一起跑线的机会。
