《小公主》的小主人公——英国小女孩萨拉·克鲁原本在寄宿学校里过着公主般的生活，但由于父亲的离世，小萨拉的地位一落千丈，终日在女校长的伪善的面孔、恶毒的打击中度日。小公主虽受尽苦难，但却依旧保持着一颗乐观向上的心。
小萨拉面对苦难，依然乐观向上，这让我想到了我们这些同龄人。面对挫折，我的双耳听到了太多的埋怨、太多的叹息，我的双眼看到了太多黯然的面孔、太多的半途而废，我们习惯了一帆风顺，脆弱的心灵受不了一点打击，柔弱的双肩扛不起一点风雨。我很想给我们的`同龄人讲一个故事 : 曾经有两个人，都住在山上，那山挺荒凉的，是秃的。第一个人挺悲观，一边叹气，一边在山脚下为自己修着坟墓。而第二个人挺观，乐呵呵的，在山坡上种了好多绿色的树苗。岁月悠悠，转眼过了四十年。第一个人果然老了，就泪汪汪地打开坟墓，走了进去，再也没有出来。第二个却精神抖擞，在碧树下采摘着金色的丰收。又过了许多年，第一个人的坟墓长满了衰草，野狼出没。而那座花果山却花长开，树常青，满山闪耀着生命的辉煌。原来悲观和乐观都是种子，都能长出情节。只不过，前者结的果叫无奈，后者结的果叫甘甜。只有面对挫折永不言弃、乐观向上的人，才会是最后的赢家。
公主的美丽、高贵并非天生，在逆境中成长的萨拉，面对生活的突变和孤苦的境遇，依然满怀勇气和希望，这才是真正的公主! 人的品质是否优秀，只有在他遭遇到重大的事件之后才能看得出来。
