“女儿，你作业做完别玩啊，去看会作文书，你看你在外面补那么久作文，可看看你的作文一点长进都没有，还不去看会作文书!”妈妈对我说。“知道了，我的好妈妈!”我不高兴的说，心想：妈妈老是叫我看书，好烦哦!还是看电视好。我闷闷不乐的回到房间，拿起书来做样子让妈妈信以为真。
就在不久后，班里进行了一个小测验。当时卷发下来后，我傻眼了。心想：完了，这个作文我从没写过，怎么办怎么办?
几天之后，试卷发下来了，我一看，心想：怎么?作文扣了10分?要是那次听妈妈的话，好好看书就不会扣得那么惨了?我看了分数懊悔不已。
从这以后，每晚我都听妈妈的话：“睡前看会儿书。”看了书再睡觉，现在都已经成为了我的习惯。现在我已经六年级下起了，我的作文有了明显的提高。
最近，我们的语文老师在给我们来文笔，经常写作文，这几个星期都写了好几篇作文了。而每一篇作文的等级，都看出了书带给我的好处;每一篇作文的评语，都看出了书给我带来的好处。
写那篇《合唱比赛》时心想：哦，对了。我不久前看过类似的文章，可以仿照啊!于是我就开始高兴的写了起来。不到一个小时一篇作文就出炉啦，我按照我们语文老师说的，写完后要读一边自己的发现自己的问题。我按照老师说的读了一遍，自己都觉得比原来写的好，语句要通顺些了，没有读不通的问题了。
第二天来到学校，我自信满满的将作文交到了交家作业的地方。
过了几天，作文发下来了，我一看，心想：耶!是优加!还有好多的波浪线呢!还好那本书帮助了我，看来以后要多读课外书籍。一定要坚持下去!
有喜有忧，又笑有泪，有花有果，即需兴趣，又需认真，这就是读书带给我的好处。
