My favorite novel is 《世界八十天》 which is written by Jules Verne. The author was born in France and devoted himself to literature and wrote several scientific romances which gained him the name——Father of Modern Science Fiction.
This is a book of science fiction which tells us an exciting story about an English gentleman Mr. Phileas Fogg who makes a bet with his clubmates and manages to travel around the world in eighty days. It gives us a vivid description of the many difficulties and incidents which happen on his journey.

In the book，she wrote that she had not been able to see，hear or speak since the age of one year and seven months.This unusual thing made her very sad.When she was seven years old，she knew Miss Sullivan(沙利文)，her good teacher.Helen was getting happier every day.Then，Miss Sullivan helped her learn how to write English words.At first，Miss Sullivan wrote some words on Helen's hands with her own fingers again and again.Helen was a very diligent girl.Because of this，she tried as much as possible to remember words.After that，she wrote and published(出版)many famous works.My Life Story is one of them.

So, it is important to make the wise use of books. We should read different kinds of books. The books that give us knowledge which we can not learn in the class, the books give us pleasures and the books which remain us do not forget the past. I love lots of books whether in English or Chinese. One of my favorite series of books are HARRY POTTER, I know lots of people read that, it is one of the popular books in the world. Now there are six books on sell. Let me introduce the series of Harry Potter.
My favorite book of Harry Potter is ‘Harry potter and the goblet of fire’; it is the fourth book of the series. The book is talking about Harry, the main character are leading to the fourth year of hogwarts, the wizard’s school. There is a challenge for three wizard school called ‘the triwizard tournament’ this year, the people who want to join this challenge need to be higher than seventeen years old and write their name down on papers and throw it into the goblet of fire, the goblet will chose one people in each school to join the triwizard tournament. But the goblet chose four people to join the tournament, Harry is one of them!!!
The first challenge is to get egg from dragons, after a fight everyone passes it. The next challenge is to go into the lake and save their friends from the creatures within the time under water. Their friends have all been saved. There comes the last challenge, the maze. The people who get the cup in the middle of the maze are the champion of this tournament. Harry and Cedric pass all the things happened in the maze, they touch the cup together. But Voldemort, the lord of the dark rise again…
I read this book many many time, in Chinese and English. I also watch the movie of Harry Potter. The Harry Potter series are a great book to read. Tell you other favorite book I like next time.
