When I was a naughty boy, may be because of the influence of the film "Xiao Bing Zhang Ga", my dream was to be a soldier just like Zhang Ga. I thought if I was a soldier, I should be able to swim, dive and climb trees as he did. It seemed to be very wonderful. So I began to learn swimming, diving and climbing trees. I practiced every day and finally I could do them well. But when I entered junior high school and had the military training. I suddenly found that being a soldier was very difficult and I wasn't strong enough tobear it. I had to give my dream up.
当我还是一个顽皮的孩子的时候，也许是受到电影《小兵张嘎》的影响，我梦想着成为一名像张嘎那样的军人。我想如果我是一名军人，那我就会像他那样会游泳、潜水、爬树。那样该多好啊。所以我开始学习游泳、跳水、爬树。我每天都练习，终于我做到了。后来，我升初中的时候，参加了军训。我突然发现当军人是非常困难的，我还不够强大到能适应。我不得不放弃我的梦想。

但是，我还是没有泄气，我有了一个新的目标，就是当一名邮差，哪怕是一个报童也可以。如果我成为一个报童，我可以骑车在街道上飞驰把报纸扔在每一户门廊前。这是件多么酷的事。于是，我开始学起了骑车。经过每天的练习，我可以骑得很快了。但令我失望的是，我想要的那份工作只有西方国家才有，而中国是没有的，因为中国家庭是没有门廊的。而中国的邮差不得不将一摞很厚的报纸从非常窄的口子投进很小的邮箱里。这样的工作与我的想象天差地别。所以我的梦想再一次破灭。
Perhaps you have had the same experience as I and most of your dreams haven't come true yet. But I think it doesn't matter, because if you have a dream, you'll make many efforts to realize it. This course is really important. If I hadn't dreamt of being a soldier or a newspaper boy. I wouldn't have learned to swim, to dive, to climb trees or to ride a bicycle. Even if our dream can't come true, you'll learn much from the efforts you have made. So what I want to tell you is that dream helps us to grow up and teaches us how to control our lives. My Dream 我的梦想
Everyone has a lot of dreams. Some people want to be rich, dreaming of becoming millionaires overnight. Others want to be famous, dreaming of suddenly jumping to great fame. I have a lot of dreams,too. When I was a young girl, I dreamed of becoming a scientist like Hua Imogen in future. However, I knew very well that I could not succeed without painstaking efforts. So I studied hard in the middle school and college in order to attain my goal.
After graduating from, college, I found a job as a teacher. Although I was very busy with teaching, I never gave up my goal. I read a lot of books to get more knowledge. I made experiments to practise and apply what I had learnt from the books. Sometimes, I was so deeply indulged in my research that I forgot my meals and time. Now I have made great progress. Several of my research papers have been published. The methods proposed in my papers have been proven to be valuable for the solution of some problems. I am very happy. The ladder of becoming a scientist is still far ahead, but I have climbed the first rung anyway.
