一、《高考大纲—英语》对书面表达的要求
考生根据题示进行书面表达。考生应能:(1)准确使用语法和词汇;(2)使用一定的句型、词汇, 清楚、连贯地表达自己的意思。另外在《高考大纲》中,关于书面表达的评分原则中又指出:评分时,应注意的主要内容为:内容要点,应用词汇和语法的数量和准确性及上下文的连贯性。在第五档(最高档)的给分要求中又进一步细化为:完全完成了试题规定的任务。•覆盖所有的内容要点;•应用了较多的语法结构和词汇;•语法结构或词汇方面有些许错误,但为尽力使用较复杂结构或较高级词汇致;•具备较强的语言运用能力;•有效地使用了语句间的连接成份,使全文结构紧凑。完全达到了预期的`写作目的。
综上所述,我们可知高考对学生英语书面表达的要求主要体现在三个方面:第一是内容要点;第二是语言形式(词汇和语法结构);第三是行文连贯。
二、高考书面表达提供的参考答案对《高考大纲—英语》书面表达要求的具体表现
这里我们以2005年的湖北卷书面表达为例。其题目为:你堂兄建华在国外学习你们经常用英文通信。他即将完成学业,不久前来信就是否回国工作征求你的意见。请根据下列提示回信:1.建议他回国;2. 理由是:1)学有所用,就业容易;2)照顾父母。

分析这封回信,可以说它完全完成了试题规定的任务,完全达到了预期的写作目的。具体表现在:
其一,内容要点齐全。试题规定的要点通过第3,4,5,6,7句全部进行了交代。
其二, 语言形式丰富。具体表现在:①使用了较多的从句:定语从句两处(第1,2句);状语从句两处(第3,7句);主语从句一处(第4句);宾语从句三处(第6,7,8句);②三处用不定式复合结构作主语(第5,7,8句);③根据内容需要,运用了较多的时态:一般现在时(如首句的主句);一般过去时(文中的两个定语从句);现在完成进行时(第2句);现在进行时(如第4句中的主语);一般将来时(第5句);不定式的完成式(首句中的不定式结构)。
其三, 行文连贯紧凑。如通过In my opinion 衔接,来表达自己的.观点;通过For one reason和For another reason来陈述自己的理由;用In fact补充找好工作容易的观点;再通过Therefore 和So来得出结论:完成学业,回国就业。
师指导学生进行对比,使学生明白教师的表达同他们自己的表达相比的不同之处。这里的不同一般有两方面:一是词汇的选择不同。如第13组,to 和toward.前者是单音节词,而后者是双音节词,故而黑体句子读起来,使得动词are swimming 的动作方向在语感上更强。又如第15组黑体句子较之非黑体句子多了一个小词pretty,该词的运用强化了时间间隔之短。二是句子结构的运用不同。如第3组句子,非黑体句子是简单句,而黑体句子运用了强调句型,强调了求妹妹的是Ah Fu.
三、指导学生写作并进行评阅
对于高考英语书面表达要求的的三个方面:“第一,内容要点”,学生一般不会遗漏,而对于“第二,语言形式”和“第三,行文连贯”则需要教师认真指导。
关于“语言形式”,应要求基础较好的学生“使用较复杂结构或较高级词汇”。其指导的方法有教师举例对比或教师修改学生的书面表达。假定下面的各组句子中的第一句是学生的'表达,而第二句黑体是教师的表达。
