I have met so many friends in my high school life. They have exerted enormous influence on my life. However, one of my most impressive friends is my roommate, Li Lei.
在我的高中生活中，遇到了很多朋友。他们对我的人生产生了重大的影响。然而，我印象最深的朋友是我的室友李磊。
In the class meeting on the first day of school, Li Lei did not impress us at all. We started to notice him because he was always late for classes. We were thus impressed by his laziness.I came to know him and his situation because we were roommates and spent much time together: his mother was seriously ill and sick abed in long-term, his father left him and his mother mercilessly. Hence, it was him that shouldered the heavy burden of taking care of his sick mother supporting the whole family.
在开学第一天的入学班会上，他没有给全班同学留下任何印象。李明让我们开始认识他，是因为他总是上课迟到，同学们都以为是个懒惰的人。因为我们是室友，平时的交往比较多，后来我才慢慢了解到他的情况：原来他的母亲罹患重病，长期卧床，父亲残忍地离开他们而去，照顾生病的母亲和养家重任只能由他来承担了。

First of all,I was impressed by his devotion to teaching. Because his lectures were always well-prepared and clearly delivered, students swarmed into his classroom. Second, I admired the fact that he would confer with students outside of the classroom or talk with them on the telephone. Many young people visited him in his office for academic advice; others came to his home for social evenings.

Probably the best example of his wit is this bit of wisdom with which he once ended a lecture：“It is as dangerous for man to model himself upon his invention, the machine,as it would be for God to model Himself upon His invention.”

Hello, everyone. It is truly my honor to give you my speech here. My topic is a special friend of mine.
Perhaps the most vital person I have ever met is him, an enterpriser, speaker who’s name is X XX. He gives me so much on my way of life, second only to my parents.
Maybe he is not very famous to us. Under the one by chance, I had the honor to listen to his speech in my school. I still remember the title of that speech was XXX. I got to resonate with his all points. After the speech, we became very good friends. We had e-mail connection almost every year. If it is true that life makes a wise man smile and a foolish man cry，then my friend is truly a wise man. The biggest thing that had impressed me was one time I told him that I contradicted the boss in my practice internship for a little trifle. I just wanted to get some comfort from him. To my surprise, he said, “Did you apologize? You are a big guy now. If you want to be a successful man, you should learn how to take the responsibility for whatever you have done. No matter how small the mistake is, mistake is a mistake. Apologize first, that is what you should do.”
From then on, if there is the mistake that I am in, no matter how big part should I take, I apologize first. Every guy around me finded the big change of me and liked to play with me. I felt so good. No doubt I learned a lot from my friend and owed him a great deal. Thanks to him very much.
